"Green" & Energy-Efficient

The homes at Newberry Place include a number of sustainable and green features such as:

• Solar water heaters

• Foam and cellulose insulation

• Natural ventilation systems

• Passive solar heating

• Bamboo & Marmoleum flooring

• Recycled fiber carpet

• Energy Star appliances

According to a 2008 energy audit, the average heating bill of a Newberry Place home will be 50-65% less than a federal Energy Star-rated home!

We also have recycling and composting bins on site for use by all Newberry Place members.

The Design & Construction

Newberry Place was designed by Destigter/Smith Architects. Our general contractor was Vander Kodde Construction, and David deVelder of ICCF served as our owners' representative.

Half-Off Property Taxes? YES.

A portion of the Belknap Lookout Neighborhood has been designated a Neighborhood Enterprise Zone,

meaning that all Newberry Place homeowners

enjoy a 50% reduction on property taxes for

up to twelve years!
